I am Dmitry, and my son Mark formed a voice-over production team. My son Mark and I started with voice-over a few years ago. I have fulfilled the role of producer, agent, technical support, sound engineer, and my son adopted the role of voice-over actor.
He got a remarkable start considering his young age. His zeal and dedication allowed me to grow with him and gave me more motivation.
I believe we’ve made a great choice going into voice-over as it compliments Mark’s love for acting and his creative personality.
As a parent, I’ve seen in these tons of benefits and early life lessons my son can learn. On the real examples, he sees how to present himself to get noticed. He understands the importance of satisfied customers and what it takes to provide excellent customer service.
He now buys equipment from his own earned money to improve his setup, so he provides customers with better quality audio. And of course, he is enjoying making money from his own bedroom.
Due to his young age, Mark still needs an adult to represent him, to keep conversations with customers, and to process financials. And as an involved parent, I can’t wait when the time comes, and he will take complete ownership of voice-over business.
I love working with my son, but I would really like it when my son leads his own business. I believe that any teenager can lead VO hustle on their own without the assistance of adults.
